AERO DRUM putty wraps vs Compression Packings
Aero Drum gland packing starts sealing from the inner most ring,
and seals right across the hole stuffing box to the outer ring
The square manufactured wrap acts as a carrier to support the rotation putty as the sealant for slurries, fly ash, sugar tar, sea water and and all general pump applications. The carrier only supports the putty or, the sealant, so will fill in all cavities ,this sealing set will run completely leak free with no pressure on the gland nuts a non compression sealing system. With very little to no sleeve wear.
Putty wraps are formed from implotion materials/sealant's. Wraps and putty are stronger than any normal compressed packing yarn. This non-compression sealing system has got recuperation properties (memory) .This putty wraps allows the sealing set to slide or move to the back of the stuffing box and seals from the inner most ring and will not allow any sand or grit or abrasive matter to move in between the packing and the sleeve.
